Information Kippo collects

How information is used

We use information to provide and maintain your account, show and save your family's content and progress, schedule prayer reminders, generate requested content, support safeguarding features, protect the service and respond to support requests.

Parents manage child profiles and feature permissions. Please avoid entering information you do not want processed, particularly sensitive details in prayer requests or Leo conversations.

Firebase, AI and other services

Google Firebase processes account and app data for authentication, cloud storage, server functions and security. When you use AI features, Firebase Cloud Functions send relevant inputs to Google's Gemini service. For example, Leo requests can include conversation messages and a child's name and age; prayer generation can include the occasion, values, notes, age and any existing prayer draft. AI-generated content is returned to the app.

Google or Apple may process information when you choose their sign-in services. Service providers process information as needed to provide their services; their own policies also apply. Learn more in Firebase's privacy information, Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's Privacy Policy.

Optional prayer voice recordings are stored in the app's private storage on the device and are not uploaded by Kippo. Prayer reminders are scheduled locally on the device. Your device's notification settings control whether reminders can be shown.

Sharing information

Information is shared with the service providers described above to operate Kippo and its requested features. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect safety and the service. When you contact support, information in your message is shared with the email service providers involved.

Children and family information

Children use profiles managed under a parent's account rather than separate child accounts. Parents should supervise use, manage feature permissions and contact us with questions about their child's information.

Retention and deletion

Account and family data are kept while needed to provide the app. You can delete your account in Settings > Delete Account: type delete and confirm. This removes your Firebase account and family data, including child data and audit logs. Deletion is permanent. Locally stored recordings may remain on your device; remove them in the app or delete the app from each device.

You may also request deletion or ask about your family's data by emailing armacwan@gmail.com. Please do not include passwords or sensitive information in your email. We may need to verify that you own the account before acting on a request.
